AURIN + ARUP INNOVATION HACKATHON

In celebration of the World Open Data movement, AURIN and ARUP are excited to partner on an Urban Innovation Data Hack across March 22 and 23, 2024.

Focusing on the challenges and opportunities in Melbourne’s Innovation District, this event, held at ARUP’s Docklands HQ and online, will bring together a diverse group of participants, including urban researchers and planners, data scientists, and software developers and designers.

Proposed themes include measuring innovation and the impact of the Melbourne Innovation District, adaptation for demographic changes, and climate transition challenges.

The overarching goal is to leverage data and insights to intelligently prepare for the evolving needs of the community, workforce, environment, and economy. Participants will work to build proofs of concept and minimum viable products for these themes. The event is designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and the development of new data products and novel applications to enable better analysis and insights that contribute to the evolution of urban digital twins.
