AURIN welcomes new Media Officer Scott Limbrick

We are pleased to welcome Scott Limbrick as AURIN’s new Media Officer. Scott will join the Outreach and Communications Team, assisting their work in communicating the research impacts of urban, regional, and social researchers.

“It’s great to see how AURIN has contributed to research capacity in Australia on vital urban and regional issues, particularly as we face critical questions in transport, health, housing, climate and social policy planning. I’m excited about upcoming projects that will use new technology to assist researchers in exploring these issues and look forward to focusing on how AURIN’s tools and data can best support world-leading research,” says Scott.

Scott joins AURIN after working as Digital Producer at the Wheeler Centre. He holds a Master of Screenwriting from the University of Melbourne as well as an MPhil in International Relations and Politics from Cambridge with a thesis which focused on consultation and engagement with civil society as an element of open policymaking processes in the US and UK.

Scott brings several years of experience in research-driven, government relations and communications roles across Australia and the UK, including with the Wheeler Centre, the University of Melbourne, Comedy Central, Y20 Australia and Global Voices. As a freelance writer he has contributed to Meanjin, The New Statesman, VICE, Overland, SBS and other outlets. His fiction has been shortlisted for the Richell Prize and featured in journals including The Suburban Review, Westerly and Aniko Press.
