AURIN Welcomes Isabelle Dwyer and Adele Peer to the Marketing Team

AURIN’s marketing team is growing, with Adele and Isabelle coming on board to bring new skills, fresh ideas, and a shared commitment to making urban research impact more visible and accessible.

Adele graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology – not really knowing where it might take her but knowing she wanted to feel like she was somehow helping people and making a bit of a difference in the world. She went to Special Olympics looking for an internship and told them to put her anywhere she might be needed. This set her on course for a career in marketing and communications and she fell in love with the work.

In joining the AURIN team Adele notes:

“I am passionate about AURIN’s mission and how genuinely interesting the work is.  I am so excited to be able to share the useful data and research that AURIN is supporting and promote it so that it can be used to hopefully not only better Australia, but the rest of the world.

What drew me to AURIN was not only their culture of flexibility, teamwork, and open communication, but also how dedicated the team is to their work.”  says Adele.

Adele recognises that marketing is an ever-changing field and thrives in an environment where she can continuously learn about new techniques, software, and tools. She is never bored and will never stop growing, something we value at AURIN. Adele especially enjoys uncovering meaningful stories through data, which is why marketing analytics at an organisation like AURIN is a particularly good challenge.

In previous roles Adele had the privilege and responsibility to shift her company’s MarTech CRM from Salesforce to HubSpot, and built out all the related workflows, automations, and integrations. It was a huge project and looks forward to applying her wealth of experience and insight to AURIN’s marketing team.

I truly believe that there is no authenticity without passion, which is why I have only ever pursued jobs with companies and organisations that I really believed in.

If you’re not showing up to work every day excited to be pushing along a genuine mission and feel like you’re just there to make someone else money, nothing you do will ever be authentic.

I take the time to ensure that every project or task I complete is something I’m proud of, no matter how big or small it is.” says Adele.

Her advice to someone starting out in this industry is to take all the free webinars, training courses, and mentorships you can. Everyone in marketing will have different opinions and thought processes on the best way to do things, and so it is important to absorb it all and come out with your own fully formed opinion.

Alongside Adele, we welcome Isabelle, who brings a different path into marketing and a fresh perspective to the team.

While Adele’s journey has been shaped by big projects and experience in marketing analytics, Isabelle joins with a background in audience engagement and a passion for creative communication.

Isabelle joins us in her first professional role in the digital research infrastructure industry. Her journey began with studying Marketing and Commerce and prior to joining AURIN, worked primarily in face-to-face marketing. This gave her valuable experience in audience engagement, campaign execution and customer communications. Transitioning into a more digitally focused role at AURIN has been a welcome and rewarding challenge, allowing her to expand her skill set and apply her knowledge in new ways. Isabelle is currently continuing her studies, a bachelor’s degree in criminology at the University of Melbourne.

“I’m most passionate about using creative storytelling to highlight the outstanding work being done by the AURIN team. I find particular fulfillment in producing both short-form and long-form media that effectively communicates the impact of our projects.

It’s incredibly rewarding to use creative strategies to bring attention to the team’s achievements and contributions to the urban research ecosystem”  says Isabelle.

Isabelle is motivated by the opportunity to continuously grow and diversify her skill sets in marketing, Her experience at AURIN thus far has developed her understanding of how marketing functions within the context of digital research infrastructure, and has challenged her to think more strategically and adapt her approach to marketing as a whole. This ongoing learning process is what keeps her engaged and driven in her work.

One of the things I value most about working at AURIN is being surrounded by individuals with incredibly diverse and specialised expertise. Simply being part of conversations or attending presentations has significantly contributed to my own development. says Isabelle.

Isabelle strategically selects content formats that are suitable for the desired outcome.  Whether it be social media posts, blogs, short-form videos such as YouTube shorts, or long-form video formats.  She enjoys matching content formats to assignments and planning plays a key roll in her creative process.

By welcoming Adele and Isabelle, we’re building on our mission to promote the impact of urban research. Their contributions will support AURIN in bringing complex data to life and ensuring that research reaches the people who can use it to drive urban impact.
