We are delighted to welcome Dilara Ozer, who has joined AURIN as a Contracts and Commercial Officer. She will be working closely with the Commercial Partnerships team to help develop and drive AURIN development initiatives, as well as strengthen relationships and connections with other organisations.
Dilara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with majors in Politics and International Relations and Criminology, and a Juris Doctor degree, both from the University of Melbourne. While studying, Dilara was an active member of several student organisations, including the Melbourne Journal of International Law and the Melbourne China Law Society. Simultaneously, she interned at Victoria Legal Aid, worked as a legal assistant to a barrister, and worked as a research and administrative assistant at the University of Melbourne’s Asian Law Centre.
“It’s incredibly exciting to work in the innovative data space. It’s great to be a part of a project that allows for the sharing of data information that can be used to benefit academic research, government and industry. I enjoy working on the contractual and commercial side of a network that intersects with so many diverse areas to benefit the community. AURIN is truly unique,” Dilara says.
Upon graduating, Dilara worked as a trainee lawyer whilst completing her Supervised Legal Training programme at a boutique law firm in Melbourne’s CBD. As a trainee lawyer, Dilara was exposed to a range of practice areas, including commercial litigation, dispute resolution, commercial property and business law, family law, wills, estates and succession planning. Dilara was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia in March 2021.
We look forward to working with Dilara as part of the AURIN team.
