AURIN Portal 1.5 Release Guide



We are excited to announce the launch of our new Portal v 1.5. The new Portal provides researchers with updated features, improved user experience and analytical smarts.

AURIN offers a smarter way to transform your data into insights. AURIN Portal v 1.5 includes a range of intuitive analytical tools such as spatial data manipulation and econometrics.

1. How do I know if I am eligible to use the Portal?

Access is provided to academic users registered via Australian Access Federation (AAF) or government users via a VHO account. Please click here for more information.

2. Which browser should I be using?

For optimal performance, our preferred browser is Google Chrome.

3. Are there tutorials and user guides that will help get me started?

Yes, our tutorials and user guides have recently been updated, please click here to view them. These can be accessed by clicking the large question mark icon on the right-hand corner of the menu or tool.

4. What has changed in the new v 1.5 upgrade?

Our recent upgrade to version 1.5 introduced several improvements to the previous Portal. You can view the list of changes in our v 1.5 release notes.

5. How can I manage datasets and find more information about a dataset?
  • Please navigate to the spanner icon next to the dataset and click ‘About this dataset’.
  • Please navigate to the spanner icon next to the dataset you want to delete and click ‘remove’
6. How can I download a data citation list?

This function is located at the bottom of the Data Section on the right-hand side of the panel.

7. What is MyAURIN?

Here you can manage and share your projects via the import/export function. The Project List enables you to load, delete or rename previous projects.

8. What should I do if I find an issue?

We are always seeking ways to improve the Portal, please click on ‘Report an Issue’ on the bottom right hand corner.
