AURIN releases Landgate property data

Now available to our academic research community through the AURIN Portal is a wealth of data from Landgate relating to Residential and commercial Properties sales in Western Australia dating back to the mid 1980’s.
The Sale Evidence Records (SER) contains information about the sale of freehold and leasehold properties within Western Australia. Sales Evidence data has been captured from Transfer of Land documents registered as part of the land registration process. Information captured as part of the valuation process such as sale price & dates and includes house & parcel details such number of bedrooms, bathrooms and a range of other building attributes.
Landgate is the guardian of property ownership in Western Australia and is the custodian of the State’s location information asset. Their role underpins the economic security and prosperity of the State and citizens of Western Australia. they provide a secure land titles system, impartial land valuation services and authoritative location information – all vital to the Western Australian property market and the State’s economy. They are Western Australia’s trusted and respected source of location information, helping to inform important decision-making in government, business and the community.

AURIN is proud to work with Landgate to unlock this valuable data on behalf of academic spatial researchers across Australia. Unfortunately, licensing prevents us from making this data available to our government users.
Currently Landgate are providing weekly updates (with a relatively small lag 2-3 days) the data extends back to 1988.
