This month AURIN will be running a workshop at the 10th Australasian Housing Researchers Conference.
This conference provides an key opportunity for housing researchers to share theoretical and empirical research with peers across a wide range of disciplines. Attendees have the opportunity to advance and debate ideas to help guide Australia’s future approach to housing and to learn new skills through the program of workshops.
This year’s theme, Global Inequalities and Housing: The Australasian Agenda, invites both established and early career researchers concerned with housing issues across policy and governance, design and sustainability, finance and economic, and quality of living.
Participants in the AURIN workshop will explore the extensive data repositories including our newly available Landgate Residential and Commercial sales data for Western Australia. Using the sophisticated tools contained within the AURIN portal, participants can mould this information into visible and sharable knowledge. Until now, much of this information has remained behind closed doors. AURIN enables access to this data for researchers across all fields, letting users discover and mash-up data, information and knowledge.
Hosted by RMIT University’s Centre for Urban Research (CUR), with the University of Melbourne and Swinburne University, AHRC 2017 will be held at RMIT University in Melbourne’s CBD.
